This hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of luxurious amenities and personalized service. Our traditional Japanese room had exclusive facilities such as a private outdoor bath and a beautiful garden view. the restaurant offered delicious meals made with high-quality ingredients and we enjoyed impeccable service at our private dining room. the staff went above and beyond to meet all our needs and made us feel extremely well taken care of.
The hotel could improve the room description on their website to ensure guests choose the best room for their needs. We initially chose a room that did not fully match our expectations, but the staff kindly upgraded us to a better one.

Beautiful boutique hotel with attentive staff and excellent food. The outdoor baths were a highlight, and the surrounding gardens were lovely. It was also conveniently located near a hiking trail and a local shrine.
The rooms were a bit small and lacking in amenities compared to other hotels we've stayed at. the website could have had better descriptions of the rooms and their features.

Our stay at Ryokan Shinsen was absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived, we felt like VIP guests. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and made us feel welcomed. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, with a stunning view of the Japanese garden. The service was impeccable, with every detail taken care of. The highlight of our stay was the delicious Takachiho beef steak. It was so tender and juicy, truly a culinary delight. The only downside was the price, as it was the most expensive ryokan in our Kyushu trip. However, despite the cost, I would highly recommend Ryokan Shinsen for a truly elegant and memorable stay. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely consider returning in the future.

the location of the Ryokan was brilliant because it was just down the hill from the Damagase market, which was a great experience. We also got to see the stunning view from our room and enjoyed the outdoor bath, which was very comfortable. For breakfast, we had an impressive selection of Japanese cuisine and the service provided to us was extraordinary. the staff was very caring, and made sure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. the room and facilities were modern, and the bedding was comfortable, which added to our pleasure.
The location of the Ryokan was so tranquil that it was a bit difficult to find, and it took us some time to locate it initially.
